Healthy Rabbit Satai.



in the book of satai's story, rabbit meat is one of the delicious alternative that you can eat. though it just  small pieces of meat than the other satais, the rabbit satai has its own distinguished flavour which might combined between chicken and goat.

but for the jakartas who want to try this tiny mammal, might find an obstacle. because rabbit very difficult to live in the hot town like jakarta. 

but for you who has passion for the satai can go to the kedai Sate Kelinci Pak Zaenal in Kalimalang east Jakarta. the location is not to far from the UKI fly over from the south or  bekasi freewaswy from the east. if you go from bekasi's freeway you just straight a head and you'll find an intersection. After that you look after your right and find the ruko's. after them, there is a small kedai which has traditional display. there is kedai Sate Kelinci H.Zainal. 

H.Zaenal opened his kedai from the early 2003 with 40 millions rupiahs. he decided to stand this bussines because there was less competitor in it."most of them sell satai with goat and cow meat, while the rabbit is still rare",said Zainal.

His effort takes its point. now, Zaenal has three kedai which stand along east Jakarta, from Kalimalang, Pondok Kelapa untill Penggilingan. averagely, every kedai spend 10 rabbits to cook. but in the peak season, the quantity will increase untill double. "generally, my kedai will full by costumers in the weekend,"told Zainal who take his rabbit from Bogor. 

The price in zainals kedai might cheaper than the other. for one packet sate which contain ten little tusuk sate you must spend at least Rp.10 thousand. 

although the meat is very tiny but most of the costumers believe that it can bring healthy and cure for them. its normal because the fact, rabbit meat contain kitotefin and omega 3 plus omega 9 which can cure a desease like stroke and asthma.

and how that it taste? like it mentioned before, rabbit satai is a great combination between goat and chicken. the soft teksture of its meat is just like we eat chicken satai while the aroma is like goat. the result is a joyful taste which you wont get in other satais.

dont forget, if you want to eat the satai, you could bring rabbit tongseng with acid and sweet flavour. tongseng is just like  a liquid coco soup with rabbit meat in it. the soup wil water  your dry sate kelinci and infect you a delicious extraordinary flavour. so, just try it.
